Kitchen and Bath Trends Homeowners Are Loving – Fall 2025

The kitchen and bathroom are two of the hardest-working spaces in any home

and they’re also some of the most exciting to design. Today’s homeowners are looking for a blend of timeless style, modern function, and a touch of personality. Here are the top trends we’re seeing right now as designers that make these spaces both beautiful and livable.

Warm, Natural Finishes

Wood tones are making a strong comeback in both kitchens and baths. White oak cabinetry, walnut vanities, and natural stone add warmth and a welcoming feel. When combined with a complementary cabinet color, they create an added layer of visual interest. Paired with sleek hardware or modern fixtures, these materials bring texture and balance to these spaces.

Statement Lighting

As I often say, lighting is the jewelry of a space- it completes the design and sets the tone. In kitchens, oversized pendants or a series of smaller lights over the island are popular for both task lighting and visual impact. In bathrooms, homeowners are moving beyond basic vanity lighting and embracing sconces or even small chandeliers to bring a touch of elegance and elevate the space.

Bold Use of Color

While neutrals remain a favorite, we’re seeing a surge in deep blues, sophisticated greens, and earthy hues. Whether it’s a painted island, a colorful vanity, or tile with personality, these bolder choices add depth and a custom feel.

Smart + Functional Features

Functionality continues to lead the way, with homeowners prioritizing smart, practical upgrades. In kitchens, that often means integrating hidden outlets, built-in charging drawers, and touchless faucets. In bathrooms, heated floors, smart mirrors, and shower systems that allow personalized settings are becoming must-haves.

Spa-Like Bathrooms

Bathrooms are evolving into personal retreats. Spacious walk-in showers with dual showerheads, freestanding soaking tubs, and integrated features like heated floors or smart controls set the stage for relaxation. Natural stone, warm wood accents, and soft, neutral palettes work together to create a calming, spa-like atmosphere that feels both luxurious and timeless.

Open Shelving + Glass Cabinets

While storage remains essential, many homeowners are embracing a lighter look with open shelving or glass-front cabinets. This trend creates opportunities for styling/ displaying beautiful dishes in the kitchen or folded towels and decor in the bath. It also helps break up long runs of cabinetry, adding visual interest and a more personalized feel to kitchens and bar areas.
