A Tuscan-Inspired Retreat

White Lake, MI · Custom New Build
Project reference: Cedar Island

This custom home brings a Tuscan-inspired architectural direction into a setting with views across the river valley. Its nearly 5,000 square feet accommodate generous gathering spaces and several features tailored to a distinctive way of living.

A two-story vaulted ceiling establishes the scale of the interior. The kitchen and bathrooms continue the material detail, with high-end finishes, custom-tiled showers and illuminated niches.

The plan also considers how the home connects to its surroundings. A heated second-floor balcony, linked to the game room, provides an elevated place to enjoy the view. A connected greenhouse gives gardening a dedicated place within the design.

These features explain more about the project than a broad description of luxury could. The balcony, greenhouse and vaulted spaces each contribute something specific to the home’s use and character.

The completed home brings architectural character and individual priorities together in a custom build. Its most distinctive spaces show the value of considering how a home will be used while developing its design.
